Service Description

What are fat-dissolving injections? This service currently refers to DesoFace and DesoBody injectable products for selected localised fat deposits. The injected substance disrupts fat-cell membranes within the treated area. The resulting material is then processed gradually by the body. This is an invasive injectable procedure, not a non-surgical treatment without risk. What may they help with? Treatment may be considered for a limited pocket of fat, such as a selected under-chin or body area, when the person is otherwise suitable. It is not a treatment for obesity, general weight loss, cellulite or loose skin, and it cannot guarantee a particular contour. Suitability and prescribing A consultation is required to confirm the diagnosis, product, treatment area, medical history, medicines, allergies and expectations. Fat cells in a treated area may be reduced, but future weight change and remaining cells can alter the contour; a permanent result cannot be guaranteed.
