What is ClearLift? ClearLift is a non-ablative treatment delivered with the 1064 nm Q-switched Nd:YAG applicator on the Alma Harmony platform. It works beneath the skin surface without using the Alma Hybrid 1570 nm SoftLift wavelength or ablative CO₂ resurfacing. What may it help with? ClearLift may be considered for mild lines, early loss of firmness, uneven tone and dull-looking skin. It may also form part of a clinician-led maintenance plan. The degree of improvement varies and a lifting or tightening result cannot be guaranteed. How does it work? The Q-switched laser delivers short pulses of energy below the skin surface. This creates a controlled photoacoustic and thermal effect intended to support gradual collagen remodelling while limiting disruption to the epidermis. Suitability A consultation is required to assess skin type, concerns, medical history, medicines, recent tanning and previous treatments. Although 1064 nm technology can be used across a range of skin tones, treatment is not automatically suitable for everyone. Treatment and recovery The skin is prepared and appropriate eye protection is used. Sensations vary and may include warmth, tingling or brief snapping. Temporary redness, warmth, mild swelling, sensitivity or dryness can occur. Many patients can resume normal activities quickly, but zero downtime cannot be guaranteed. Risks and limitations Possible risks include irritation, pigment change, blistering, burns, infection or scarring. Serious complications are uncommon but cannot be excluded. A course of treatment may be recommended, and results develop gradually and vary between patients. Aftercare Follow your clinician’s instructions, use gentle skincare and daily broad-spectrum SPF, and avoid tanning, excessive heat and strong active products until advised.
